Olivia Palermo Embodies ‘Casual Elegance’ at her Recent Wedding

The newlyweds, epitomizing “casual elegance” on their big day.

Late last month, tucked away in a shaded park in Bedford, New York, Olivia Palermo and her longtime boyfriend, model Johannes Huebl, wed in a quiet ceremony surrounded by friends and family. Despite their high-profile relationship, the couple opted for an elegant, low-key wedding with a small guest list and casual attire. Well, casual attire for two of New York’s perpetually best-dressed individuals.

How sweet is this look?

Carolina Herrera outfitted the beautiful bride in stunning separates: a casual, cashmere sweater, a gorgeous tulle skirt, and white shorts. It’s hard to believe that a pair of shorts – elegant as they were – would be the preference of a seriously stylish bride, but Palermo pulled the look off beautifully. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if this became one of the next big trends in bridal fashion.

Her casual, yet elegant outfit paired wonderfully with subtle jewelry, a loose ponytail, and cobalt blue Manolo Blahnik heals, a la Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City. The couple looked absolutely stunning, forever proving that even low-key civil ceremonies can be the perfect choice for some couples. One of the most impressive things about the entire ceremony is the fact that the couple was able to pull it off with no media attention until after Huebl posted a photo of himself and his new bride to Instagram. In the media age of Kim and Kanye-sized nuptials, it’s really quite refreshing to see a celebrity couple marry in a simple, timeless way.

“We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with your family and two friends. Bedford is such an amazing countryside,” the couple reportedly said.

Cheers to the happy couple, and here’s to many more discreet, elegant celebrity weddings in the future.
