This may be just about the best idea for wedding photography yet. I’ve mentioned playing games as a way to keep guests entertained and the fun flowing, and I’ve talked about how more couples are using social media to “unofficially” document their big day. But I never thought about combining the two.
Some people are naturals when it comes to taking photos. They know the moments to look for, and they always seem to have a camera ready when those moments happen. You know who I’m talking about, yes? Most of us have at least one friend who has this mysterious and magical skill. But the rest of us… well, it’s not so easy to catch candid shots that we feel will be worth saving.
That’s where this fantastic “I Spy” idea comes into place. DizzyDaffodil on Etsy offers the “I Spy Wedding Game” with custom colors for each couple’s wedding. These 5 X 7 cards are simply genius, as they direct guests to snap photos of the perfect moments: people laughing, dancing bridesmaids, groom kissing the bride, cutest older couple, and so many more.
The idea is so simple, yet so wonderful. Even if you have a professional photographer snapping the “official” moments of your wedding, this could still be an option. Sometimes candid moments capture so much more emotion, love, and happiness than a posed photo would.
DizzyDaffodil has several different options as far as design goes, so if you’re interested, check out the Etsy shop and browse around. Even if you don’t purchase anything, you could still get some great ideas!
